If your browser runs Java, log in to the chat room here.
If your web browser has a helper application for
application/x-chat then click here.
If that didn't work, then consider enhancing your web browser to use these
links. Here is some software that might help you:
Get mIRC (Shareware;
standalone IRC client and web browser helper app for Windows)
mIRC installation manual (lots of pictures -- BIG)
Get IChat
(Commercial apps and web browser plug-ins for Windows/Mac)
Get Snak, a shareware IRC client
for Macintosh computers.
Get Ircle, a shareware
IRC client for Macintosh computers.
If you have your own IRC client set up, point it to our server,
"irc.newearth.org" and join channel #newearth .
If you don't have your own IRC client, you can use one at NewEarth.
Your browser must have a telnet application to use these links.
This service is available only for use on NewEarth's IRC server. To use
other servers, get your own client.
If your ISP gives you access to a Unix shell, you can usually run an irc client by
typing the command 'irc'. Normally, you would follow this with your nickname and the name
of the server, for example: 'irc pat irc.newearth.org' would connect you to the IRC server
here and give you the nickname 'pat'. Once connected, you can type '/join #newearth' to
join the main chat channel.
